Licensed Professional Counselor, State of Texas (License # 64989)

Research areas include trauma, relational neuroscience, motherhood, LGBTQ+ community, First Responders and families, special needs families, and military service members and families.

Former State President of the Texas Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues in Counseling  (a division of the Texas Counseling Association)

Mother of 7 children - Nonna to 2 grandchildren

Married to Lt. Col. Larry Parsons, (Ret, USAF)

Army Brat - Father was a Staff Sergeant (Retired Army)

Worked as an Emergency Room Psychiatric Consultant for a number of hospitals in several South Texas counties, assessing patients for homicidal, suicidal, or psychotic behavior.
